Russ Landon
Russ has over 25 years of experience in industry-focused investment banking and financial advisory. Before founding NRCA, he started and directed the clean technology / sustainability practices at two major Wall Street firms, ran an investment banking division, started and directed a sustainable consumer products practice, and began his career focusing on environmental services. Russ formed North River Capital Advisors to provide a wide breadth of services for companies in the Clean Energy + Sustainability sector, leveraging years of relationships and experience.
Prior to forming North River Capital in 2013, Russ founded and directed the Clean Technology Group at KeyBanc Capital Markets, the investment banking division of KeyCorp, a commercial bank with $90 billion in assets. In this capacity, he developed a firm-wide practice in a new industry sector, responsible for a variety of transactions including public and private debt and equity, syndicated loans, M&A and other financial advisory services.
Before Key, Russ spent 17 years at Adams Harkness / Canaccord Adams (now Canaccord Genuity), a leading investment banking and brokerage firm with a presence throughout the North America and Europe. At Adams, Russ founded and headed the firm’s Sustainability / Clean Technology practice which became the leading national player in this space under his direction. He also was head of the Investment Banking Division for five years and established the firm’s sustainable consumer practice, Healthy Living. Before Adams, he spent several years working with environmental service companies.
Russ has been a Board member of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, the leading Clean Energy policy and trade organization in the Northeast, since 2011. He also sits on the NECEC’s Executive and Finance Committees. Russ has also served on the Boards of the CleanTech Capital Group and the South Shore Natural Science Center.
Russ received his MBA from Columbia Business School and BA from Yale University. He is a Series 24 Registered Securities Principal and Registered Securities Representative (Series 7, 63, 79) with BML Securities LLC. Russ is married with two children, an avid backcountry skier, sailor and fly fisherman.

Justin Nowicki
Justin Nowicki’s investment banking career has focused on mergers and acquisitions advisory and capital formation primarily with middle-market corporations.

Outside of Justin’s work in M&A advisory, he founded BankerBox, a transaction management software for M&A professionals. BankerBox was acquired by SS&C Intralinks, Inc. in 2019. Prior to founding BankerBox Justin worked for Headwaters MB (now Capstone Headwaters) and The Forbes M&A Group.

Justin Holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Denver.
Brian Stornelli
Brian has provided transaction execution services for M&A, private placements, public market financings and advisory engagements in the energy efficiency, technology, healthcare, consumer products and financial services industries. In addition to working with NRCA, Brian works with Benning Associates LLC.

Most recently he served as a finance and strategy consultant for early-stage start-up companies preparing to raise additional funding. Brian was previously a Senior Investment Banking Analyst at Stifel Nicolaus in the Technology Group providing advisory and transaction execution services for IT services, semiconductor and software companies. Prior to Stifel, he was an Analyst in the Emerging Growth and Financial Institutions Groups at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College with concentrations in finance and economics.

Jay Remington
Jay Remington is a mergers and acquisitions specialist whose 18-year banking career includes extensive middle market transaction experience with training in the Health Care, Retail, and Technology industry groups at bulge-bracket firms. Jay has worked on more than 35 successful advisory and capital markets transactions valued in aggregate at more than $22 billion.

Previously, Jay was a Principal at Wells Fargo Middle Market (formerly Barrington Associates) in Boston, a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Houlihan Lokey, and an M&A specialist at emerging growth investment bank Adams Harkness. Earlier in his career, Jay worked in Merrill Lynch’s Global Healthcare Group and in Lehman Brothers’ Global Technology Group.

Jay earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Physics from Brown University, where he was a four year member of the Varsity Wrestling Team. Jay is a General Securities Registered Representative licensed with FINRA (Series 7, 79, 63). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Porter Foundation, and formerly chaired the Annual Fund for the Kent School in Kent, CT. Suzanne Oakley
Suzanne Oakley, CPA has more than 25 years of global experience in business planning, financial modeling, financial management, transaction support, and strategy development for companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 500.

A seasoned financial executive, Suzanne has extensive expertise in preparing and evaluating investor presentations, developing and managing annual budgets and quarterly outlooks, preparing and presenting financial reports and analysis to Executive management and Boards of Directors, providing financial oversight for corporate operating divisions, and implementing financial planning and reporting systems.

Suzanne has held several senior financial management positions in publicly traded companies, such as Cablevision and ScanSoft, as well as venture-backed startups. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and a Deloitte alum. Suzanne gained Wall Street experience as a sell-side analyst with SG Cowen Securities covering Telecommunications Services. She is also an advisor to the Hub Angels Investment Group, and is a mentor for Northeast CleanTech Open, MIT Clean Energy Prize, and MIT’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship.

Suzanne earned her M.B.A. in Finance and New Business Development from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and her B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude from Georgetown University School of Business.
